Wandering jew plant, inch plant, flowering inch plant also called Tradescantia zebrina, Tradescantia fluminensis

Inch plant care requires bright, indirect light. If the light is too dim, the distinctive leaf markings will fade. Keep the soil slightly moist, but don’t water directly into the crown as this will cause an unsightly rot. Care should be taken, particularly in winter, that the plant doesn’t become too dry. Mist inch plants frequently. Feed your plant monthly with a half-strength liquid fertilizer.

Plant Care: Wandering jew is a easy growing plant. Do not over water it. Keep it in a place where you have a sun light , NOT the direct sun. Fertilize them once in 30 days. Like any other plants as the grow old, the upper layer the plant will thin out due to fall in leaves. This is natural. As they get old and thin out the plants starts looking bald and the best way to retain its green glory is to cut some of the strings down of the vine and plant them in the same pot in regular intervals and add some fertilizer.

Check if the plants stores water in their leaves or in rhizomes (bulb like structure in the roots). Check when the soil is dry then put the water. Over watering kills the plant due to root rot. Best suggestion is to shift the plants outside (in shade) once in awhile till they recover.
