The Pothos plant, commonly called the Money Plant in many parts of the world, is one of the most beloved houseplants for a reason—it’s beautiful, adaptable, and almost impossible to kill. With its lush, trailing vines and heart-shaped leaves, this tropical plant brings a touch of green elegance to any indoor space. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned plant parent, Pothos makes a perfect companion.

🔍 Plant Profile
  • Botanical Name: Epipremnum aureum

  • Common Names: Money Plant, Devil’s Ivy, Golden Pothos

  • Family: Araceae

  • Origin: Native to the Solomon Islands

  • Growth Style: Fast-growing vine, excellent for hanging pots, trellises, or shelves

  • Toxicity: Mildly toxic if ingested (keep away from pets and small children)

💡 Light Needs

Pothos thrives in bright, indirect sunlight, but its true superpower is adaptability—it also grows well in low-light corners, making it ideal for offices and less sunny rooms. Just avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.

💧 Watering Tips

This plant likes to dry out a bit between waterings. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry to the touch. If you forget to water it now and then, don’t worry—it’s drought-tolerant. However, be careful not to overwater; soggy roots are its biggest enemy.

🌱 Soil and Potting

Plant your Pothos in well-draining potting mix—a blend of garden soil, coco peat, and perlite works great. Choose a pot with drainage holes to avoid water buildup and root rot.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

Pothos loves warm environments and grows best in temperatures between 18°C and 30°C (65°F to 86°F). It’s fine in normal indoor humidity but will also thrive with a little extra moisture in the air.

🌿 Feeding and Growth

Feed your Money Plant with a liquid fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring through early autumn). Skip feeding in winter, when growth naturally slows down. With proper care, it can grow up to 10–15 feet indoors!

✂️ Propagation Made Simple

Want more plants? Just snip a healthy stem below a node, place it in water or soil, and you’ll have new roots in a couple of weeks. It’s one of the easiest houseplants to propagate, making it perfect for sharing with friends or expanding your collection.

🐛 Pests & Problems

Pothos is mostly pest-resistant but occasionally may attract mealybugs, spider mites, or scale insects. Wipe down leaves regularly and use neem oil or insecticidal soap if needed. Yellow leaves usually point to overwatering or lack of drainage.

🌼 Popular Varieties to Try
  • Golden Pothos – Classic green with golden-yellow marbling

  • Neon Pothos – Vibrant lime-green leaves that pop in any space

  • Marble Queen – Creamy white and green variegated foliage

  • Jade Pothos – Solid green, tough and low-light tolerant

🪴 Styling Ideas

Pothos is a styling superstar—let it trail from a bookshelf, hang from a basket, or train it up a moss pole for a vertical accent. It brings life to living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and workspaces with very little effort.

** Plants photos are for representation purpose only. We will make best efforts to send the plants as in photos itself.  There may be small white dots on the plant, as these plants cared in nursery using the hard water and pesticide spray. However these will eventually disappear as you take care and clean the leaves. Trust us, we want to give you the best
