Passionflowers have Botanically known as Passiflora from the Passifloraceae family. Common names are Passionflower, Rakhi flower, Krishnakamal Passion phool. It is a perennial semi-evergreen flowering vine and Passiflora, known also as The passion flowers or passion vines Because are a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants. The namesakes of the family Passifloraceae. They are mostly vines with some being shrubs, and a few species being herbaceous. Passiflora incarnata (maypop) leaves and roots have a long history of use among Native Americans in North America and were adapted by the European colonists. Because the fresh or dried leaves of maypop are used to make a tea that is used for insomnia, hysteria, or epilepsy, And is also valued for its analgesic properties.
Plant Care: Pink Passionflower is a easy growing plant. Do not over water it. Keep it in a place where you have a good direct sun. For a this plant, you need well-draining soil. This type of soil ensures excess water drains through the plant pot. This prevents all that extra water from building up in the soil. When there’s too much water in your plant’s soil, it blocks the oxygen from getting through to the roots. The lack of oxygen to a plant’s roots can cause root rot.
