Schefflera species are wonderfully tropical plants. The larger schefflera (sometimes called the umbrella plant) features long, shiny, oval green leaves that droop gracefully from a central stalk. A mature schefflera might have 12 or 16 leaflets from a single stalk, while an immature schefflera is more likely to have 4 or 6. Schefflera arboricola (sometimes called dwarf schefflera) feature smaller, glossy leaves, sometimes with creamy variegation. Schefflera will thrive alongside your other tropical plants. Sadly, schefflera is unlikely to bloom inside, so you’ll miss the long, red tentacles that pass for flowers.

Schefflera Variegated or Dwarf Umbrella Tree is not difficult to grow, providing you supply plenty of indirect sun light, warmth and humidity. It’s a very popular plant for home because it is not only attractive but also has a high tolerance of neglect and poor growing conditions. This plant can be pruned in order to control its height and shape and it likes medium to high light levels. The plant is characterized by its decorative, hand-shaped leaves and a compact growing habit. schefflera are very popular houseplant that produce big dark or variegated palmate leaves. The leaves are made up of several smaller leaflets growing out of a single point.
Plant Care: Schefflera Variegated is a easy growing plant. Do not over water it. Keep it in a place where you have a good direct sun. For a this plant, you need well-draining soil. This type of soil ensures excess water drains through the plant pot. This prevents all that extra water from building up in the soil. When there’s too much water in your plant’s soil, it blocks the oxygen from getting through to the roots. The lack of oxygen to a plant’s roots can cause root rot. Root rot is just as the name sounds. It’s when the roots of a plant start to rot away. Fertilize once in a month. Loosen the topsoil without disturbing the roots of the plant so it can uptake the nutrients and moisture easily

It is best to acclimate this plant to its environment by keeping it outside and slowly moving it into a sunny area over a week or two to avoid stress before planting.
